FrontPage Support End of life announcement
Posted by Jeff Ball on 12 April 2007 07:35 AM

Microsoft has discontinued FrontPage and its support - The official end of life was reached on June 30th 2006.

Due to these circumstances, we will no longer support FrontPage

FrontPage Server Extensions are programs that run on the web server to handle server side processing of components that are built into FrontPage, such as search forms, hit counters etc.

We've continued to run the unsupported Unix FrontPage extensions on our servers and try to provide as much support for customers as possible, however, we are officially announcing the offical support will end effective January 1, 2007.

Many features used in FrontPage websites are based on FrontPage Server Extensions released by Microsoft. Things like form processing, themes, hit counters and even automatic website publishing. These features are collectively known as the FrontPage web-bots.

In the event you wish to continue using Frontpage at all costs,  we can move your domain or account to a Windows Server  - contact support for more info

Please note:
Microsoft has also announced two new product lines to replace FrontPage:

SharePoint Designer aimed at business and developers and
Expression Web Designer
designed for  your average web designer
